Arizona State University and Hainan University open joint college in Haikou

Arizona State University and Hainan University have opened a joint college in Haikou. The first of its kind in China, HAITC is an international and innovative joint college established by Hainan University and American top-ranking public research institution. 

Tuition (about 60,000 yuan for each semester), is much less than that in Arizona State University and students will have the same access to the different scholarships, research resources and electronic library resources. 

Students will be offered double degrees, one from Hainan University and another from Arizona State University from a range of disciplines including hotel management, human geography and urban/rural planning and administrative management, all of which will be taught in English. 

The aim of the collaboration is to develop local talent with a global vision and international competitiveness for tourism.
