The beaches of Wanning’s Shenzhou Peninsula will host one of China’s top ultimate events later this month. From September 20–21, the 2025 China Beach Ultimate Open will take place alongside the national selection trials for the World Beach Ultimate Championships.

The tournament will be played in the 5-a-side mixed format, following the trial version of China’s official beach ultimate rules. Teams can register 10 to 20 athletes, with a minimum of five men and five women required. Competition begins with round-robin group play before moving into crossover elimination rounds, with final rankings based on total wins.
This year’s event has drawn 11 teams from Hainan, Guangdong, Fujian, Yunnan, and other regions, bringing together more than 200 players from over 50 cities. A prize pool of ¥100,000 (around USD $14,000) is on offer. The champions will take home ¥40,000, while prizes will be awarded down to 8th place. Each team will also receive a ¥5,000 participation subsidy.
Beyond the prize money, recognition will be given for the sport’s values. Awards include the “Spirit of the Game” team honor, Most Valuable Player titles for one male and one female athlete, and certificates for two outstanding coaches. Most importantly, the tournament champions will earn the right to represent China at the 2025 World Beach Ultimate Championships.
With a mix of competitive stakes, community spirit, and world-class beach setting, Wanning’s Shenzhou Peninsula is set to be the stage for one of the highlights of China’s ultimate calendar.
