On 29th October, the Hainan Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and the Consulate General of the kingdom of Netherlands in Guangzhou held a China (Hainan) Dutch Economic and Trade cooperation exchange conference in Haikou.
Hainan Free Trade Port policies were introduced to representatives of visiting enterprises which led to discussions on deepening cooperation in the fields of investment and trade, the medical and health industry, modern agriculture, tourism, modern service industry and friendship-city exchanges.
This is the third time that the Consul-General of the kingdom of Netherlands in Guangzhou has visited Hainan since the “Overall Plan for the Construction of Hainan Free Trade Port” was released on June 1, 2020.
This exchange event consisted of the largest number of enterprises organized by a single foreign country to visit Hainan since the announcement on the construction of the Hainan free trade port on 13 April 2018.
During the exchange, the heads of relevant units in Hainan introduced the Hainan Free Trade Port’s opening policies, talent introduction, investment promotion and other policies.
They also invited Dutch entrepreneurs to share in the new opportunities for Hainan’s development, make good use of the free trade port’s preferential policies, and participate in the China International Consumer Goods Fair, to invest in various fields in Hainan, increase bilateral trade and achieve a win-win situation.
After the meeting, there were in-depth exchanges with representatives of related units and enterprises of Hainan on topics such as airport construction, life science and health, urban planning and architecture and tropical agriculture.
The entrepreneurs also visited relevant medical institutions and science and technology departments in Hainan and visited Haikou, Qionghai, and Sanya to discover future business opportunities.
