Hainan is in the transportation hub connecting Southeast Asia and East Asia, and has unique geographical advantages and resource advantages. At present, Hainan has vigorously promoted the construction of international tourist islands and ecological provinces by accelerating the construction of charging infrastructure, increasing the promotion and application of new energy vehicles, and improving the implementation of new energy vehicle promotion and support policies. During the Thirteenth Five-Year Plan period, the province will promote 30,000 new energy vehicles and build more than 28,000 charging piles. From 2018 onwards, vehicles newly added or replaced by public institutions should use 100% new energy vehicles except for special circumstances.
hey, Jake. I re-read your article. Can I ask what do you mean by "Rapidly improving infrastructure goes a long way towards overcoming short-term obstacles to adoption“ （toward the end of the article）?
Also, you mentioned the new Provincial regulation about newly built residential buildings reserving space for charging facilities. If it is considered as public space, then the home owners are gonna have to pay extra. Sigh.
