Hainan’s first batch of medical masks roll off production line

Hainan’s first batch of disposable medical masks produced by its Haikou production line left the factory yesterday.

On February 14th, Hainan’s first independent mask production line was officially put into operation in Haikou.

At present, the line can produce up to 40,000 masks per day.

February 7th mask production equipment was sourced from Dongguan city, Guangdong. It was ferried overnight to Haikou and installation and commissioning were completed on the evening of February 8th.

The Hainan Provincial Drug Administration audited the facility and on the 13th the Registration Certificate and Production license were issued.

On February 14th, the first batch of disposable medical masks produced by Kangzhi Pharmaceuticals officially left the factory.

All masks produced will be issued as a priority to front-line medical staff and front-line prevention and control staff.

As of the 14th, 20,000 masks produced by the pharmaceutical company have been allocated to 8 municipal-administered designated hospitals by the Municipal Health Commission as needed.
