Intellectual property service sites will be set up during the exhibition.
The Provincial Convention and Exhibition Industry Association and the Provincial Intellectual Property Association have recently signed a strategic cooperation agreement in Haikou. The two sides aim to strengthen the protection of intellectual property rights by establishing intellectual property service sites and other business cooperation during the exhibition.
According to the agreement, the Provincial Intellectual Property Association will provide publicity and advisory services on intellectual property protection laws and related professional technologies.
It also support the services to apply for registration and protection of exhibition logos, names, mascots, slogans, theme contents, etc. It aims to strengthen the protection of exhibitors’ intellectual property rights and review the intellectual property status of exhibitors’ projects, including exhibits, booths, exhibition boards and related publicity materials.
During the exhibition, intellectual property service sites or complaint agencies will be set up. Both sides will send staff to the exhibition hall, coordinate the handling of infringement cases, and publicize the contacts and contact details at the prominent positions in the exhibition hall.
Regarding the development of Hainan’s convention and exhibition economy reform, the two sides will organize various seminars and reports to discuss about the hotspots, difficulties and major issues of intellectual property rights and technological innovation.
The activity week lasts from December 17 to 23.
