Latest report on Baoyuan Garden Community Closure from Haikou COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters

Yesterday, 21 June, news broke of a man in Haikou testing positive after he took a nucleic acid Covid test on the morning of 20 June. The result ended in the Baoyuan Garden Community in Xiuying district being locked down for further testing of residents.

Latest report on Baoyuan Garden Community Closure from Haikou COVID-19 Epidemic Prevention and Control Headquarters

From June 21 to 22, Mr. Deng, was sampled three times, and the results of the nucleic acid tests for COVID were all negative.

According to the relevant provisions of the COVID-19 Prevention and Control Plan (Eighth Edition), Deng’s COVID-19 virus infection was excluded based on the nucleic acid test results, clinical manifestations and vaccination history.

A total of 2087 samples were collected from the Baoyuan Garden Community where Deng lived, including 2057 samples from the community staff and 30 samples from the environment. The test results for novel coronavirus nucleic acid were all negative.

As of June 22 at 05:40, the closed management of the Baoyuan Garden Community has been lifted.
