2019 The 3rd Hainan International Health Industry Expo grand opening.

On the morning of the 9th November, the 3rd Hainan International Health Industry Expo opened at the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center.

The exhibition was hosted by the Central Committee of the Chinese Agricultural Workers’ Democratic Party and the Hainan Provincial People’s Government, Hainan Provincial Health and Health Committee, Hainan Provincial Committee of the China Agricultural Workers’ Democratic Party, and Hainan Radio and Television General Station (Group).

The theme of the health expo was “Healthy New Era, Free Trade, New Hainan”, and it attracted exhibitors from more than 20 provinces and cities and more than 10 countries to participate in a global health industry event.

On the opening day, more than 1,000 government and business representatives attended the exhibition which gave attendees an insight into medical institutions, pharmaceutical equipment and the latest health products from international companies in Hainan.

The exhibition area was 30,000 m2 and covered international medical tourism, pharmaceutical equipment, domestic and international medical care, beauty institutions, health food, leisure sports, and South medicine resources.

Mr Stuart Crockett Commissioner of the Government of Western Australia China Office.

Mr Crockett spoke about the age care sector and mentioned that it’s a future area which both China and Australia can collaborate on, as both countries are facing the same issues, they both have an ageing population.

Mr Crockett also stated that Western Australia has 5 universities, all of them having a focus on the age care sector. One of which, the University of Western Australia is ranked in the top 100 universities in the world, all of them have a significant number of Chinese students and more importantly, they have a high number of Chinese researchers, who are working with them to advance their collaborations.

In addition, government agencies from both inside and outside the province also participated in the exhibition. Exhibitors from more than 20 provinces and cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, Guangzhou, Zhejiang, Nanjing, Shanxi and Inner Mongolia participated in the exhibition.

A total of 10 countries including India, Russia, Malaysia, Australia, Cambodia and South Korea participated in the exhibition.

During the exhibition, the organizing committee also organised the “live 99” square dance competition, a tattoo competition, “world watching Haikou” media meeting, Hainan Radio and Television audience festival, health carnival, and the “Free Trade Hainan” promotion meeting.

There were ten concurrent supporting activities, including an award ceremony for exhibiting companies and Hainan Children’s Spring Festival Evening. The exhibition ran until the 10th of November.
