Registration Opens for the 2025 Hainan Shili Gallery Natural Rock Climbing Competition
The 2025 “Changjiang Cup” Shili Gallery Climbing Competition will take place on November 29–30 in the Lihuali Scenic Area of Wangxia Township, Changjiang Li Autonomous County, Hainan Province. The event is organized by the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports.
About the Venue
The Shili Gallery lies within the Bawangling region, one of Hainan’s most notable karst landscapes. The area features natural limestone walls over 120 meters high, known for their solid rock quality and distinct stratification. These formations offer routes that demand both technique and concentration, with expansive views across the surrounding tropical rainforest.
Unlike indoor climbing, the competition takes place on natural rock, allowing participants to experience the terrain as it exists in the wild. The combination of physical challenge and natural setting is central to the appeal of this event.
