Temporary Road Closures in Haikou for New Year’s Eve Concert

Several roads in Haikou will be subject to temporary traffic control measures on December 31, 2025, due to a large New Year’s Eve concert being held in the city.

The 2025–2026 Hunan TV and Mango TV New Year’s Eve Concert (Haikou) will take place at Wuyuanhe Stadium. According to the traffic police division of the Haikou Municipal Public Security Bureau, traffic measures will be put in place to keep roads safe and moving during the event.

Traffic controls will be in effect from 3:30 pm on December 31 to 1:30 am on January 1, though authorities note that this timing may be adjusted depending on traffic conditions.

Traffic arrangements during event entry

Changchuan Road: one-way traffic south to north

Wenti Center North Road: one-way traffic east to west

Traffic arrangements during event exit

Wenti Center Middle Road (between Changchuan Road and Changtong Road): one-way west to east

Changchuan Road: one-way traffic north to south

Wenti Center North Road: remains one-way east to west

In addition, roads including Changbin Road, Wenti Center Middle Road, Changchuan Road, and Wenti Center North Road may be subject to additional real-time traffic control measures during both entry and exit periods, depending on traffic flow.

Traffic police advise residents and visitors to plan ahead, allow extra time for travel, and consider using public transportation where possible. Drivers and pedestrians passing through controlled areas must follow posted traffic signs and comply with directions from on-site police officers.

Authorities also note that traffic control measures may begin earlier or end later than scheduled, or cover a wider or smaller area, depending on real-time conditions.
