Hi all,

I am currently a science teacher from the US teaching chemistry in Shanghai. I have been teaching for 6 years but am now looking for a change and am interested in exploring new career opportunities in Hainan.

I was hoping to get some advice and guidance from the community on potential job opportunities in Hainan for someone with my background and experience.

What kind of job opportunities are available in Hainan for someone with a background in chemistry and teaching?

Are there any specific industries or companies in Hainan that are currently hiring and would be a good fit for my skills and experience?

Can you provide any advice or resources for someone looking to transition from teaching to another line of work in Hainan?

Thank you in advance for your help! I look forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions.

Best, Chris

Hello Chris,

There are a number of industries in Hainan that could potentially be a good fit for someone with a background in chemistry. There is a growing demand for professionals in the fields of environmental protection, energy, and pharmaceuticals, (however, proficiency in Mandarin would be a plus).

It might be worth keeping an eye on companies like Hainan Airlines, Hainan Huasheng New Material Technology Co., Ltd., and Hainan Hengyi Petrochemical Co., Ltd.

Also, you can keep an eye on our jobs board, https://www.tropicalhainan.com/jobs-in-hainan/ we post regularly.

I recommend registering your information so companies can find you, you can also create job alerts and get notified when we post.

Hope this helps

Patrick

Hi

Unfortunately my Chinese would not be good enough for lab work. I have registered on the jobs board, will keep an eye on that. Thanks for your help.

Best, Chris
