Hainan’s August–September 2025 Festival & Events Guide

Hainan is hosting 142 official tourism, culture, and sports events across the island in August and September 2025. These include 18 international events, 53 national-level activities, and 71 province-wide programs. From beach carnivals and concerts to regattas, folk festivals, and youth sports, the calendar is designed to welcome visitors with fun events and vibrant experiences.

August Highlights

Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival (26th Edition)

August 2–31 | Island-wide (Opening: Haikou)

Hainan’s flagship summer festival spans the entire month, with sub-venues in cities and counties across the island. Expect themed markets, live performances, outdoor parties, and travel promotions from scenic areas, resorts, airlines, and online platforms.

“Never-ending Party” Carnival Main Event

A central celebration of the Carnival featuring music, beach entertainment, and nighttime festivities.

Sanya Cosplay Citywide Activities

August 7–31 | Sanya | Yucai Ecological Zone and scenic districts

Sanya International Intangible Heritage Life Festival (1st Edition)

August 27–31 | Sanya | Dadonghai Scenic Area
