The Institute of Translational Medicine (ITM), Zhejiang University was established in 2014 with the mission to bridge the gap between basic science and clinical practice for better translation of bench-side breakthroughs to bedside diagnostics and therapies, and eventually to benefit patients. The ITM has the capacity to recruit 50 investigators in various research fields with emphasis on multi-disciplinary and cross-functional collaborations. To date, the ITM has recruited 28 principal investigators. The areas of major research focus on cancer, metabolism, immunology, cardiovascular diseases & stem cell therapy, and medical engineering & new device development.

The ITM is recruiting a co-director, who should be a tenured professor with outstanding achievement, and principal investigators. Applicants should have a Ph.D. or M.D. degree with postdoctoral training or R&D work experience. Strong track record of publications or unique translational techniques and willingness to work closely with the clinicians in Zhejiang University affiliated hospitals are required. Successful candidates will be recruited through “Bai-Ren” program or “Qiu-Shi” chair professorship. Applicants at the level of associate professor or above with tenure in the world-leading universities are particularly encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will have dual appointments at the ITM and one of the affiliated hospitals of Zhejiang University School of Medicine. Attractive start-up fund and compensations will be provided.
