Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Provide in-depth knowledge and scientific leadership to establish and validate cell-based, molecular, and biochemical assays
  • Ensure reliability and reproducibility of screening results and methods, and appropriate data analysis and interpretation to support decision making
  • Leverage lab automation to improve assay operation, quality, and overall productivity
  • Evaluate and implement new enabling technologies and methods
  • Lead early discovery projects from idea conception to proof of mechanism/concept or principle
  • Partner with project and functional teams in a matrix environment
  • Responsible for effective project management and utilization of internal and external resources.
  • Mentor, motivate and develop junior scientists and research associates, contribute to building a positive and results-oriented culture

Qualifications and skills:

  • PhD in a life science disciplines with minimal three years of industry experience
  • Extensive hands-on experience in establishing novel and standard cell-based, molecular, and biochemical medium/high throughput screening assays
  • Hands-on experience with various automated liquid handling instruments and robotic systems for assay operation
  • Strong data processing and analysis skills covering single point and dose response analyses
  • Experience in independently developing and testing scientific hypotheses based on human disease pathogenesis and drug MOA in various therapeutic areas
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment to advance drug discovery, with excellent organization and communication skills
  • Prior experience training, supervising and mentoring associate scientists
  • Prior experience with multiple therapeutic modalities (small molecule, peptide, antibody, antibody drug conjugate, etc.) is a plus
