About the company

The Swiss Business Hub (SBH) China is part of the Embassy of Switzerland in the People’s Republic of China. It supports SMEs from Switzerland and Liechtenstein in their business development in China and provides Chinese companies with information on Switzerland as a business location. The Swiss Business Hub represents Switzerland Global Enterprise (S-GE), the official Swiss agency for export and investment promotion. The SBH China has additional offices at the Consulate General of Switzerland in Shanghai and the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou. 

Job description

The main purpose of this position is to support Swiss companies in their export activities to China. 

Your tasks will include:

·       Collect trade information and compile reports in English on trade issues and regulatory changes

·       Provide competent consulting services to Swiss companies, especially SMEs to support their international business

·       Contribute to the team’s KPIs by working independently on specific projects such as market research, distribution partner search, fact-finding missions, Swiss pavilions, etc.

·       Contribute to the team’s knowledge sharing by attending industry-specific seminars

·       Visit the key regional trade fairs to identify market trends and report on business challenges and opportunities

·       Develop and maintain a good network with the regional Swiss business community

·       Build and maintain a high quality, relevant network of experts to best support Swiss companies

·       Develop and maintain good relationships with local partners and authorities

·       Occasional business trips in China and to Switzerland

·       Represent the Swiss Business Hub and the Consulate General at events (networking, etc.)

·       Regular use of CRM tools

·       Support and cooperate with the Consulate General of Switzerland in Guangzhou in trade-related activities

·       Reporting to the Chief Trade Officer of the Swiss Business Hub in Beijing

Skills & experience

We are looking for a motivated, high-performing Chinese national with a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree. You have a solid background in business consulting & marketing with at least 6 years of work experience in international trade and/or industry. You are a dynamic and proactive person with good communication skills and enjoy presenting your views and giving advice to representatives of Swiss companies. You are a self-starter and work with a high degree of accuracy and precision. You have a proven track record of strong professional values such as integrity, transparency, discretion, reliability and respect. You are open-minded and a good team player. In addition to excellent written and spoken Chinese language skills, you are also fluent in English with good writing skills. We are looking for a minimum commitment of 3 years.
