Hainan Airlines launched a new direct flight route between Haikou and Tokyo Narita, starting February 3rd, 2025. This is the first non-stop service connecting Haikou, to Japan, which is expected to enhance travel options for both inbound and outbound passengers.

- HU791: Departing Haikou at 7:55 AM, arriving in Tokyo at 1:30 PM
- HU792: Departing Tokyo at 2:35 PM, arriving in Haikou at 8:15 PM
- Aircraft: Boeing 737-800, configured with two classes (8 business class seats and either 156 or 162 economy class seats depending on the configuration).
