About the company
As a manufacturer of reflow soldering systems for over thirty years already, the German company Rehm Thermal Systems opened its second production site in Dongguan, China in 2003 and has been steadily increasing production ever since to become market leader in this line of business.
Today Rehm Thermal Systems serves the world-wide market for consumer electronics, lighting, avionics, EMS, medicine, automation or automotive in the areas of electromobility, 5G technology and many more mainly from 26 locations in 24 countries from with primarily soldering systems. Other products are protective coating, hardening systems or drying systems. In Asia our organizational head lies in Hong Kong with Production and biggest site in Dongguan, China. Sales offices are located in Suzhou, Taiwan, South-Korea and Thailand as well as further service locations in Malaysia and India.
More than 50 percent of world-wide Production happens in Dongguan, in our 1200m2 factory located in Songshan Lake Hi-Tech Industrial Development Zone. We moved here from Changan in summer 2020 to double our output in order to fulfill our customers’ growing demand in Asia while continuing to offer high-end, innovative products for the Electronic Industry manufacturing all over the world.
Our Dongguan factory constitutes the heart of Rehm Thermal Systems in Asia managing the organizational operations of other Asian locations in the areas of HR, After Sales Service, IT, Management as well as Quality and Purchase.
We are looking for an experienced Assistant to General Manager (AGM) to help the General Manager ASEAN and Greater China in directing daily business operations. The AGM should be able to confidently deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives. The AGM must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the General Manager.
To be a successful AGM, you should eagerly participate in educational and training opportunities. The AGM must be able to motivate and positively influence staff, especially during times of low morale.
Cooperating with the General Manager and assisting with anything from project planning to staff management.
Contract Revisions and Feedback to related Team with related Knowledge of Guidelines like Law, internal Regulations etc.
Overviewing Sales Team related Tasks and Targets as Controlling Role
Supporting to Financial Team in Reporting Formats and its preparation
Nurturing positive working relationships with staff.
Delegating daily tasks.
Addressing any issues in a timely fashion.
Ensuring company policies and procedures are followed.
Setting a good example for staff.
Helping in good Communication with German Headquarter Top Management
Skills & experience
Bachelor or Master Degree in one of Business Administration / Law / Finance / Economics / Mechanical Engineering / Electronics / Linguistics or similar.
Great interpersonal and communication skills.
Strong problem-solving abilities.
Good observation skills.
An ability to deliver constructive criticism.
Computer literate and good Math skills.
An ability to identify weaknesses and provide coaching where necessary
Fluent in English and Chinese Mandarin, additionally one of German / Korean / Vietnamese and Cantonese preferred
