Spotlight on Irish Ingenuity: Highlights from Irish Businesses at the Hainan Expo 2024

Amidst the vibrant energy of the Hainan International Consumers Expo 2024, Irish businesses proudly showcased their innovative solutions and commitment to excellence. Led by the Ambassador of Ireland to China, Ann Derwin, along with representatives from Irish state agencies, the Ireland Country of Honour Pavilion stood as a showcase of Irish ingenuity and entrepreneurship.

Throughout the expo, a series of engaging side events organized by the Embassy of Ireland provided a platform for meaningful exchanges and collaborations.

The Country of Honour Pavilion brought together 29 participating companies and organizations, unveiling over 200 exhibits from more than 50 Irish brands. Among them, notable companies made their mark on the global stage:

Ireland China Science and Technology Association (ICSATA)

Dedicated to fostering comprehensive cooperation between Ireland, the EU, and China, ICSATA showcased technology, trade, culture, and education with a focus on green energy solutions to combat climate change.

Irish Casing Company (ICC)

Partnering with Hainan Masi Food, ICC established Haisi Food, a joint venture food processing enterprise aimed at delivering quality meat by-products to the Asian market. Leveraging their expertise as Europe’s largest manufacturer of meat by-products, ICC continues to expand its global footprint while meeting the growing demand for premium food products.
