The 2020 Hainan International Tourism Island Carnival is coming! This year is the 21st time the island carnival has come to Hainan. Activities and events will start on November 20th.
The core theme of this year’s festival is “promoting new forms of tourism, marketing new tourism products, launching new tourism routes, and creating new tourism effects”.
Activities will be held across 6 venues
The main venue is in Haikou City, and the other five branch venues will be located in Sanya, Danzhou, Qionghai, Wanning, and Lingshui Li Autonomous County.
During the carnival, different venues will carry out a variety of events such as conferences and exhibitions, culture and art, sports events, preferential promotions and more.
The aim of the carnival is to attract tourists to Hainan for sightseeing and create a new tourist consumption hotspot.

Opening Ceremony and theatrical performance of The 2020 (21st) International Carnival of Hainan

Venue: Oriental Global Theater in the Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center

Activity content: At the opening ceremony, there will be performances to showcase the unique ethnic culture and international customs of Hainan, and promote the cultural activities of the Carnival.
“Happy Hainan” a large-scale tourism promotion conference

Venue: Multifunctional Hall of Hainan International Convention and Exhibition Center

Activity content: The “Happy Hainan” large-scale tourism promotion will present Hainan’s rich tourism resources and brand-new tourism products in a unique way to the guests that attend the Carnival.
The opening ceremony of the 2020 (5th ) Hainan World Leisure Tourism Expo, the 2020 (6th ) Hainan International Tourism and Food Expo, and the 2020 Hainan International Tourism Equipment Expo

Activity content: The opening ceremony of the three exhibitions will be held on site, during which the “Smart Tour Hainan APP” will be launched. The opening ceremony will consist of warm-up performances, opening dances, and of course leadership speeches.
2020 (5th ) Hainan World Leisure Tourism Expo

Activity content: The exhibition covers various fields such as domestic leisure and holiday tourism destinations, cultural tourism products, sports tourism products, and conference and award tourism products. 2020 (6th ) Hainan International Tourism and Food Expo and 2020 China Tourism and Food Competition

2020 Boao International Cultural and Creative Forum and 2020 Bo’ao Cultural and Creative Week

Location: Bo’ao, Qionghai
Activity content: The activity will cover the three major sectors of culture and creativity, cultural tourism, and rural innovation, a total of 1 main forum and 28 sub-forums, and will be held with the story of the sea as the centerpiece in Bo’ao. There will be a creative market and a street art festival.
Hainan Beach Sports Carnival
