Haikou CDC Announcement; please take note of the following

From March 1st to 7th, Shanghai reported a total of 175 cases of positive infection. The cases were distributed across 11 districts and showed a trend of increasing day by day. The epidemic has spilled over into 6 provinces including Jiangsu, Hunan, Guangdong, Shaanxi, Zhejiang, and Shanxi.

To effectively implement the prevention and control strategy of “foreign import, domestic rebound”, and effectively prevent and control the COVID-19 pneumonia epidemic in Haikou, the Haikou CDC would like to remind the general public and tourists of the following:

1. Those who have a history of living in Shanghai within 14 days, especially those who have an intersection or overlap with the trajectories of infected persons, please take the initiative to report to the community and neighbourhood (village) committee where they live and conduct a nucleic acid test as soon as possible. Implement health monitoring and other management measures.

2.  Areas include; Meilong town and Xinzhuang Town, Minhang District, Shanghai; Shiquan Road, Ganquan road, Yichuan road, Putuo District; Jiuliting street, Jiuting Town, Sijing Town, Songjiang District; Gucun Town, Dachang Town, Miaohang Town, Wusong street, Youyi Road, Yuepu Town, Zhangmiao street in Baoshan District; Zhuqiao town and Huinan town in Pudong New Area; Malu Town, Jiangqiao Town and Anting Town in Jiading District Juyuan New Area Management Committee, Xujiahui Street, Hongmei Road, Fenglin Road, Huajing Town, Ruijin Second Road, Huangpu District, Zhijiang West Road and Fengxian District Qingcun Town. 

Any personnel with a history of residence in these areas, take the nucleic acid detection test, “three days/two tests”, and prioritise self-health monitoring for 14 days.

3. For areas including, Yonghui Supermarket Huting North Road Store, Jiuliting Street, Songjiang District, Shanghai, No. 1200 Caoxi North Road, Xujiahui Street, Xuhui District, No. 1 Lane 3705, Baoan Road, Malu Town, Jiading District, and 33 Ningqiang Road, Shiquan Street, Putuo District No. Shiquan Community Cultural Activity Center, the “14 + 7” health management measures were implemented for people living in high risk areas, that is, 14 days of centralized isolation with medical observation + 7 days of home health observation.

4. The general public and tourists are requested to pay close attention to the epidemic situation throughout various parts of the country. It is recommended that residents not leave Hainan in the near future unless it is absolutely necessary, and do not go to cities where the epidemic has occurred. If you must go, please use personal protection throughout the trip.

5. If you have symptoms such as fever (body temperature ≥37.3°C), dry cough, fatigue, nasal congestion and runny nose, sore throat, decreased sense of smell (taste), conjunctivitis, myalgia, diarrhoea, etc., immediately go to the fever clinic of the nearest medical institution for medical check-ups, inform the doctor of your epidemiological history, wear a mask during the whole process of medical treatment, and avoid taking public transportation.

6. Those who meet the requirements for vaccination, especially those over 60 years old, please cooperate to complete all vaccinations and strengthen the immunisation work as soon as possible, and jointly build a strong immune barrier in our city.
