Hello, I'm Maria-Kristina Ambuyoc from the Federated States of Micronesia

Hello, my Name is Maria-Kristina Ambuyoc. I’m from the Federated States of Micronesia located in the Western Pacific Ocean. Currently I’m majoring in business economics at Hainan University.

Initially I was drawn to this school because of its welcoming environment, climate and people, which makes being away from home a little more tolerable. The teachers and staff have always made an effort in accommodating to our needs and well-being. I’m grateful to have to this opportunity to be studying in Hainan university because it provides a gateway to improving my home country and strengthening friendship and ties internationally, especially with China.

Coming to school in China has allowed me to meet people from different kinds of backgrounds which has given me a sense of respect for diversity, different cultures and believes.

This is something valuable I can take with me, aside from earning a degree. Hainan University has truly been a memorable experience so far and will always be my second home.
