HNA Cargo has signed a deal with DPD China to launch the first scheduled intercontinental cargo flight between Haikou and Paris.
March 17, HNA Cargo Co., Ltd. and DPD China (DPD Direct Parcel Distribution Co., Ltd) held a promotion and project signing ceremony.
The two sides will jointly carry out the Haikou – Paris cargo charter flight project.
This will be the first scheduled intercontinental cargo flight from Hainan.
DPD China is known as the “Global e-commerce circulation trigger”, mainly focusing on providing solutions for cross-border logistics and transportation.
HNA Cargo Co., Ltd. is a subsidiary of HNA Group, which focuses on providing professional air transportation, diversified integrated logistics and standardized airport ground support services to global customers.
In the past Hainan has never had regular intercontinental cargo flights, there was only the occasional charter service.
This cooperation will jointly launch regular intercontinental cargo flights. The aircraft to be used for the project’s charter flights is a B787-900.
The aircraft is scheduled to make its maiden voyage on 27 March, then complete two round trips between Haikou and Paris in a week. The two sides will also transport duty-free products and cross-border e-commerce goods.
It is reported that during this cooperation, DPD China will bring goods to Haikou after loading at multiple stations in Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Zhengzhou, Shanghai, Hangzhou and other destinations.
The goods will be declared at the Haikou Meilan International Airport, and then transported to Paris, France.
