In 2011, the UNESCO General Conference proclaimed 30th April as “International Jazz Day”
International Jazz Day aims to improve understanding of jazz, bringing together jazz lovers from all over the world to celebrate and learn about jazz, its roots, future and influences as well as foster empathy, dialogue and enhanced cooperation among people.
