Singapore based Capella Hotel Group and partner, China Gezhouba Group, have announced the Capella Sanya

“A secluded secret, rising from the tropical southern coast of Hainan Island, Capella Sanya is inspired by the stories of the historic silk road, the legends of Tufu Bay and the peaceful coupling of nature, where the calm azure sea meets golden sand. Unwind and find peace in your own private sanctuary, or wander the endless space offered by this idyllic resort.”

Capella-Sanya-2

Located in Lingshui County the resort is a collaborative project between Jean-Michel Gathy and Bill Bensley. The artfully-designed rooms and villas lie amid lush gardens overlooking the South China Sea, the resort references the legendary trade route in every detail of its design — from the décor and cuisine to the landscaping, recreational activities and spa pampering.

Capella-Sanya-1

Capella Sanya offers 190 exquisitely-designed rooms and villas amid lush gardens, overlooking the South China Sea. Inspired by the beautiful elements of nature and the area’s famous and often mysterious maritime silk road trade history, the accommodation blends contemporary comforts with multiple opportunities to enjoy the peace and seclusion of the resort as a whole. Private pools, terrace dining, dedicated Capella service and modern international dining set the scene for a retreat on the beach.
