Tianzhou-3 Launch on September 20 and information on road closures

The Tianzhou 3 is in place and ready to launch on September 20. If you are traveling around this time, please pay attention to the road closures around Wenchang.

According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, on September 16, Beijing time, the Tianzhou-3 cargo spacecraft and the Long March-7, Yao-4 carrier rocket were vertically transferred to the rocket launch area.

At present, the facilities and equipment of the Wenchang Aerospace launch site are undergoing various functional inspections and joint tests which will be completed before the planned launch date.

To ensure the safety, smoothness, and order of road traffic in Wenchang City during the rocket launch mission, Wenchang City Public Security Bureau has decided to implement traffic control on some roads on September 20, 2021.

Control time and control scope

From 0:00 to 24:00 on September 20, 2021, the parking of all vehicles on controlled roads is prohibited; three hours before the launch of the rocket, vehicles without a permit are prohibited from entering the Wenchang Donglong Line, Longchang Line or the Wentong Line.

One hour before the rocket launch, all vehicles are prohibited from entering the Wenchang Donglong Line, Longchang Line, and the Wenchang Line.

Controlled road sections

Wenchang Donglong Line, Longchang Line, Wentong Line (Liangmuzai Intersection to Tongguling Intersection); Qishuiwan Avenue, Ziwei Road, Caihong North and South Road, Qinglan Bridge.

文昌市东龙线、龙昌线、文铜线(良亩仔路口至铜鼓岭路口);淇水湾大道、紫薇路、彩虹南北路、清澜大桥。
