Urgent notice from Haikou Municipal Tourism Bureau!

Haikou city’s tourism and cultural industry should strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures to prevent the spread of the epidemic through tourism and cultural as well as sports activities so as to fully protect people’s health and safety and strengthen control of inbound and outbound tourism.

Control inbound and outbound tourism

All travel agencies and online tourism enterprises shall not organize groups to travel to medium and high-risk areas, and shall not carry out “air ticket + Hotel” business to medium and high-risk areas.

Adhere to a system of appointments, limitation and peak staggering

All tourist attractions, public cultural venues, theatres and other places should stick to an appointment system for booking using quotas and peak staggering.

Strict hotel and rural B & B prevention and control measures

All staff and tourists entering hotels and rural B & B should strictly implement epidemic prevention and control measures, such as scanning health codes, checking body temperature and requiring wearing masks.

For those who have lived in a city (county, district) where the epidemic has occurred within the last 14 days, they are required to provide a negative nucleic acid test report within 48 hours. Those who cannot provide the report will not be admitted;

For the guests with yellow code or red code, they should be arranged to an isolation observation area as soon as possible, and report to the local epidemic prevention and control headquarters.

Strengthening tourism industry prevention and control measures for indoor spaces

Internet cafes and song and dance entertainment venues must impose restrictions on consumers.

The number of consumers admitted shall not exceed 50% of the regularly approved number.

Indoor tourism and cultural activities are strictly prohibited according to the requirements of the local epidemic prevention and control bureau.

Strengthen food safety management

All tourist attractions and hotels should strictly implement food safety regulations, remind customers to wear masks when not eating and keep a distance when dining.

It is strongly recommended to use separate chopsticks and spoons for shared dishes, strictly disinfect tableware and promote non-contact ordering and billing.

Strengthen supervision and inspection

The tourism and culture bureaus of all districts should strengthen supervision and inspection of the epidemic prevention and control measures in tourism and cultural venues, cultural and sports activities, increase the intensity of open investigation and covert visits and immediately order prompt rectification of problems found.
