Hospitals in Haikou now require negative nucleic acid results within 48 hours for treatment and 24 for admission

Patients and accompanying persons can see a doctor with a negative nucleic acid result taken within 48 hours (subject to the time of reporting) and a green health code.

To be admitted, patients and accompanying persons must have negative nucleic acid results taken within 24 hours (subject to the time of reporting) and a green health code.

Haikou People’s Hospital announced that starting from December 6th, patients must have negative nucleic acid results within 48 hours to go to the hospital for treatment or 24 hours negative nucleic acid results for admission.

Outpatients:

Many hospitals have implemented an outpatient appointment system, where patients must adhere strictly to the appointment schedule to see a doctor, in order to avoid groups of patients gathering.

Patients and accompanying persons who have come from normal epidemic prevention and control areas or low-risk areas within the province (within the last 7 days), and have no common symptoms of COVID-19 or other epidemiological history, should go to hospital with a green health code and negative nucleic acid results taken within 24 hours (subject to the reporting time).

If you have a travel history outside the province (non-high-risk areas) or cities and counties with clusters of local cases (non-high-risk areas) within 7 days, you must have Pnegative nucleic acid results, 2 tests within 3 days in the province (the interval between 2 samples ≥ 24 hours), the last nucleic acid result must be within 24 hours, and should not include a landing inspection test. 

All patients and accompanying personnel must wear masks correctly when entering the hospital area, and cooperate with medical staff to conduct epidemiological investigations in accordance with laws and regulations, and epidemic prevention and control requirements.

Patients with a fever (≥37.3°C), dry cough or other respiratory symptoms should go to a fever clinic. Patients who have a travel history in high-risk control areas within the last 7 days, have a yellow or red health code, have other epidemiological history, or have a history of travel in Hong Kong, Taiwan or overseas within the last 90 days, please go to the fever clinic or red/yellow code hospital for treatment.

In case of emergency, please go directly to the emergency department for treatment.

Inpatients:

If you have lived in a normal epidemic prevention and control areas or low-risk areas in the province within the last 7 days, you’ll need a green health code, with nucleic acid negative results taken within 24 hours (subject to the reporting time).

If you have a travel history outside the province (non-high-risk areas) in cities or counties with clusters of local cases within the last 7 days (non-high-risk areas) you must have a green health code, with negative nucleic acid results, 2 tests within 3 days in the province.

The wards adopt closed management; except for special medical needs, patients and their companions are strictly prohibited from going out.

For patients who really need someone to accompany them, the doctor in charge will issue a doctor’s order, the department director, and the head nurse will sign the accompanying management commitment letter, and it is strictly enforced that one patient can only be accompanied by one person. 

Accompanying nucleic acid requirements are the same as admitted patients.
