Italy will be the country of honor for the 2023 China International Consumer Goods Expo, according to an announcement from Hainan International Economic Development Bureau on November 17th.
The 2023 Consumer Expo will be the third Consumer Expo, sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan Provincial People’s Government, and undertaken by the Foreign Trade Development Bureau of the Ministry of Commerce and the Hainan International Economic Development Bureau.
Hainan Province is actively promoting cooperation between Italy and Hainan, and is hoping to attract more Italian companies to participate in the Consumer Expo to deepen trade and investment cooperation with the island.
At the first consumer expo held in 2021, more than 50 Italian brands exhibited, at the second Expo held this year, that number jumped to 70. Exhibitors covered a range of consumer fields including automobiles, clothing, fragrances, watches, jewelry, wine, dairy products, food, and kitchen utensils.
Exhibiting brands have included Ferrari and Maserati, Richemont’s Panerai, DAMIANI, Sergio Rossi, Caruso, Armani Beauty and Prada perfumes under the L’Oreal Group, Gucci perfumes and MIU MIU perfumes under the Coty Group.
