If you’re starting to think about Spring Festival 2026 breaks and still haven’t settled on a destination, there’s a new option worth keeping in mind: a direct flight from Haikou to Hanoi.

On December 28, Hainan Airlines launched a new international route linking Haikou and Hanoi. The inaugural flight, HU783, departed Haikou Meilan International Airport at 21:27 Beijing time, officially opening a short, late-evening connection between Hainan and northern Vietnam.
The route runs three round trips a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Flights leave Haikou at 21:30 and arrive at Noi Bai International Airport at 22:10 local time, with a flight time of about 1 hour and 40 minutes. Return flights depart Hanoi at 23:15 and land back in Haikou at 01:45 the following morning, taking roughly 1 hour and 30 minutes.
Timings are subject to change, but this is a short hop that fits neatly around a workday or holiday schedule.
For travelers, especially those based in Hainan or southern China, the appeal is simplicity. Hanoi offers a very different experience and atmosphere without requiring a long journey or complex transfers. A direct evening flight makes it realistic for a brief holiday, or as part of a longer Southeast Asia trip over the Spring Festival period.
Tickets are available through Hainan Airlines’ usual channels, including its website, app, WeChat platforms, hotline 95339, and authorized agents. The airline also offers optional add-ons such as seat selection, prepaid baggage, and cabin upgrades.
This new service is part of Hainan Airlines’ broader international recovery. The airline has now resumed, launched, or planned more than 70 international and regional routes from cities including Beijing, Shanghai, Shenzhen, and Haikou. More routes are expected as demand continues to return.
For Spring Festival 2026, this Haikou–Hanoi flight adds another practical choice to the map, one that’s close, direct, and easy to plan around.
