The renowned dive-industry exhibition Asia Dive Expo (ADEX) is set to land in Hainan from October 30 to November 1, 2026, at the Hainan International Convention & Exhibition Center.

This initiative represents the island province’s first co-organised foreign economic and technological event of its kind, a sign of Hainan’s growing global trade and exhibition ambitions.

Special-purpose exhibition areas such as the diving-education zone and equipment zone will account for approximately 40% of total exhibition space. According to organisers, all booths will be constructed using renewable, recyclable or reusable materials, reflecting the event’s sustainability commitment.

Events & Networking Features

During the expo, a programme of headline events will be held:

Global Water Dance · Mermaid Art Competition

These events aim to build a platform for marine-industry business cooperation and cultural exchange within the dive-economy ecosystem.

The exhibition expects over 60,000 visitors drawn from around the world, with approximately 80% of attendees being industry professionals. Additionally, around 80% of all exhibitors and visitors are expected to come from outside Hainan province, underlining the event’s broad international pull.

ADEX: Background and Global Credentials

ADEX was initiated by UnderWater360 and has been running for more than 30 years. It has grown into a respected international platform integrating marine-industry upstream and downstream, island tourism, technology and equipment, environmental protection, outdoor sports and diving, marine digital rights, arts education, and the renowned global “mermaid water-dance” shows.

For Hainan, hosting ADEX marks a significant milestone in the island’s evolution as a hub for global marine-tourism and dive-industry business. The event’s scale, international scope and focus on sustainability align with Hainan’s positioning as a tropical-marine destination with growing infrastructure and ambition.
