Atlantis Sanya has been nominated for a host of titles at the upcoming World Travel Awards Asia & Australasia Gala Ceremony.
Set to take place in Vietnam in October, the one-of-a-kind resort will be in the running for top honours, including Asia’s Leading Family Resort and Asia’s Leading Design Hotel.
The nominations continue a run of success for the property, which last year walked away with trophies for World’s Leading MICE Resort, Asia’s Leading New Resort and China’s Leading New Resort.
China’s first Atlantis resort, a US Dollar two billion project located in Sanya, officially opened on April 28 2018. Atlantis Sanya is an integrated entertainment destination occupying 540,000 square meters of land, designed as a modern interpretation of the mythical city of Atlantis.
The new Atlantis Sanya resort features five uniquely-designed Underwater Suites, a now globally-recognised feature of the Atlantis brand. The resort has 21 restaurants, lounges and bars to choose from including Gordon Ramsay’s Bread Street Kitchen & Bar.
Overlooking the South China Sea, Atlantis Sanya also boasts one of the largest open-air aquariums in the world, The Ambassador Lagoon, which is home to more than 86,000 species of marine life.
At the heart of Atlantis Sanya is the Lost Chambers Aquarium, which allows visitors to immerse themselves and learn more about the richness and diversity of its inhabitants.
For more thrill-seeking guests, the gravity-defying waterslides at Aquaventure Waterpark promise fun for the entire family. This expansive 200,000 square metre waterpark is the first in China to open every day of the year.
Five of the resort’s spacious and luxurious rooms are underwater, immersing guests in the underwater civilization of Atlantis. The unique Neptune Underwater Suite and Poseidon Underwater Suite both command impressive views right into the heart of the Ambassador Lagoon and the 86,000 marine animals that reside inside through floor to ceiling glass window panels.
The underwater suites further offer guests premium brand sound system, premium branded bath amenities and a 12 square meter balcony for the Neptune Underwater Suites priced at CNY58,888 per night and a 33 square meter balcony for the larger Poseidon Underwater suite for CNY108,888 per night.
