Breakdown of the 3rd batch of Hainan Free Trade Port projects launched

On September 13, Hainan Free Trade Port construction projects (the 3rd batch) opening events were held simultaneously across the province.

A total of 151 projects were launched with a total investment of 40.3 billion yuan.

The main event was located in the Haikou, Jiangdong New Area.

Mr. Liu Cigui, Secretary of the Hainan Provincial Party Committee and Director of the Standing Committee of the Provincial People’s Congress, announced the launch of the project and Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Governor Mr. Shen Xiaoming delivered the key speech at the ceremony.

From the perspective of scale of investments, the initial projects will start with a total investment of more than 3 billion yuan, increasing to 4 billion yuan, accounting for 10% for all project investment.

Project Investment breakdown

There are 12 projects with a total investment of 1 to 3 billion yuan, totaling an investment of 17.3 billion yuan, accounting for 43% of all project investment.

49 projects with a total investment of 0.1 to 1 billion yuan, totaling an investment of 16.2 billion yuan, accounting for 40% of all project investment.

89 projects with a total investment of less than 0.1 million yuan, totaling an investment of 2.8 billion yuan, accounting for 7% of all project investment.

Types of projects

The projects will cover areas such as, industrial development, “five networks” infrastructure upgrading, and people’s livelihood public services.

Among them there are 48 industrial development projects with a total investment of 22.9 billion yuan, accounting for 57% of all project investment.

37 “five networks” infrastructure upgrading projects, with a total investment of 8.2 billion yuan, accounting for 20% of all project investment.

There are 66 public service projects with a total investment of 9.2 billion yuan, accounting for 23% of all project investment.

At the ceremony, Bank of China, Haikou Jiangdong New Area Administration, and Datang Group Hainan Energy Company all committed to accelerating the construction of Hainan Free Trade Port.

According to reports, in the past two years, Hainan has launched a total of 1,169 projects with a total investment of 552.5 billion yuan, of which industrial development projects accounted for more than 59%.
