Bolloré Logistics has added a new charter service to Hainan to cater for the island's duty-free shopping demand. The weekly service was launched after the logistics operator signed a cooperation agreement with the Hainan Provincial Bureau of International Economic Development (IEDB) and Haikou Comprehensive Bonded Zone Management Committee.

Toyota and Haima plan to have 200 test vehicles on the road this year, raising that number to 2,000 by the close of 2025, according to the announcement of the agreement by Haima. In an effort to enhance the duty-free shopping experience for island-bound tourists, Hainan Island has introduced that the "Guarantee Delivery" and "Instant Purchase and Pick-up" methods are now available for tourists purchasing duty-free goods from Hainan's duty-free shops.

In a move aimed at supporting the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port as an international tourism and consumption centre, the duty-free pickup point for travellers departing Hainan Island by rail and, or, ferry will open on March 23rd at Haikou South Port (海口南港), according to the Hainan Daily.
