The 2025 Haikou Public Fitness Series continues this July with its second major event, a 5-kilometer fitness walk along the scenic West Coast.

Set for July 19 at Holiday Beach, the walk promises more than just exercise, it blends outdoor activity with a lighthearted treasure hunt, cultural engagement, and family-friendly competition.
A Celebration of Health by the Sea
The event follows the success of the June 28 Wanlu Park Fitness Walk, the series’ kickoff.

Participants in the Holiday Beach walk will traverse a 5-kilometer route designed to highlight Haikou’s coastal charm. Along the way, they’ll pass four interactive checkpoints where they can collect stamps as part of a themed treasure hunt. Completing the route and the stamp challenge could win them one of several local tourism and cultural gift packages.
Designed for All Ages—with Extras for Families
This year’s event places special emphasis on family and group participation. A dedicated category for family teams encourages parents, children, and friends to walk together, promoting teamwork and active living.
The first 10 family groups to complete the stamp challenge will receive gift boxes from CDF Haikou International Duty Free Shopping Complex and drink vouchers from Qiong A Craft Brewery.
Individual participants also have the chance to win, with top finishers receiving GDF Duty Free facial massage gift sets and additional beer vouchers.
All registered participants will receive a custom event backpack and bib number, plus a selection of branded giveaways including:
- Beverages from Uni-President Enterprises Co., Ltd. (Haikou branch)
- Qiong A Craft Beer samplers
- DiDi ride-hailing coupons
- China Southern Airlines mileage vouchers (worth up to 7,000 miles)
- Discount coupons redeemable at six Royal Palace Holiday locations
- PanPan Food energy snacks
- Limited edition fans from Haikou MixC’s Island Adventurer collection

More Than a Walk—A Movement
The Holiday Beach Fitness Walk is part of a larger initiative to promote wellness and outdoor culture in Haikou. By blending exercise with exploration and community participation, the city aims to strengthen public health while boosting local tourism.
Whether you’re a seasoned walker or just looking for a fun, active day out with friends or family, this event offers a refreshing way to connect with Haikou’s coastline—and each other.
Lace up, step out, and rediscover Haikou—one kilometer at a time.
