Winter is coming! For Hainan that means it’s the perfect time to get outdoors and take part in some local sport activities. Here are five sporting events across the island this November.
During the winter months in Hainan you won’t see snow on the ground and you probably won’t need a wooly hat and gloves. Compared with the long hot summers, the cooler winter temperatures make it the ideal time for being outdoors.
Coastal cycling in Dongfang
Date: November 7, 2020
Location: Yulin Island, Dongfang City
Experience the coastline of Dongfang city on the Northeastern corner of Hainan. The cycling route is around 23 kilometres.
In addition to the cycling event, the organizer has also prepared a number of interesting activities and performances related to cycling.
There will also be the opportunity to win some top prizes, such as: a 50 inch TV, a cooker, electric rice cooker, floor fan, sports bracelet, battery pack, kettle, sports backpack and more…..
Cycling route: Yulin zhou scenic spot, (starting point) Shugang third north road of Wusi park, road G225, park third road Shugang north road, Jiefang west road, Yulin zhou scenic spot (end point).

Inner-city walk along the Bund coastline in Haikou
Time: November 14, 2020
Location: Haikou City
This event was founded in 2018 and is held each year. It is estimated that around 10,000 people will sign up for this year’s event.
Pay 0.01 yuan with Bank of China bank card at the event and you’ll get a limited edition fanny pack. Finish the race to earn a medal. There will also be a lucky prize draw on the day.
The walking route:
The first stop: The Clock Tower (3.5 km check-in point)
The second stop: Century Park Music Square (6.5 km check-in point)
The third stop: Long Zhu Bridge (7.5 km check-in point)
The fourth sign: Haikou Century Park Square (10 km check-in point).

Beach Rugby Invitational Tournament
Time: November 21 – November 22, 2020
Location: Lingshui County
Beach rugby in Lingshui. Sign up as a team to take part. The top three teams will receive trophies, certificates and uniforms.

Hainan Kite surfing Invitational Tournament
Time: November 20, 2020 — November 22, 2020
Location: Haikou Holiday Beach
Holiday beach is the one of the most famous beaches in Haikou, It’s also very popular for kite surfers.
Kite surfing contests are held there each year which attract thousands of spectators.
Three winners will be awarded certificates, and the top eight winners of the Elite Men’s group will be awarded certificates. The prize pool this year is 9000 yuan!

Danzhou Huaguo Mountain Lake Race
Date: November 28, 2020
Location: Danzhou Huaguoshan Park
The race is located in Huaguo Mountain, a famous scenic spot in Danzhou.
Competitors will have a great view and enjoy the fun of sports and the unique charm of local scenery along the way. Participants will receive an event gift bag and have the chance to win prizes in the lottery.
