The final of the 2021 Hainan Free Trade Port Tourism Innovation Competition for University Students is set to be held at Hainan University.
A total of 1,851 teams from 382 universities including Fudan, Sun Yat-sen, Sichuan, Nankai, and Xiamen universities all signed up for the competition, which solicits creative designs for three travel routes centering on Hainan’s island-looping scenic highway, tropical rainforest parks and countryside, as well as its coastal tourism areas.
The competition is being jointly hosted by HNU, the Tourism Education Branch of China Tourism Association, as well as the Hainan Provincial Department of Tourism, Culture, Radio, Television and Sports.
It aims to encourage young people to participate in the construction of Hainan FTP, and bring vitality to the development of tourism in Hainan. It is of great significance in terms of building Hainan into a major destination of global medium and high-end tourism consumption.
