Company Introduction:

Hanergy Holding Group Ltd. is a multinational clean-energy power generation company, as well as the world’s largest thin-film solar company. Established in 1994, the Company is headquartered in Beijing and has more than 10,000 employees. It has branches in several provinces in China as well as in North America, Europe, Asia-Pacific and other regions. Its businesses cover hydropower, wind power and photovoltaic power generation.

Hanergy Holding Group, one of China’s leading privately-run manufacturers of clean energy products and contractor of and clean energy projects, began production in Haikou in 2014 of thin-film solar cells. The company is producing the solar cells at its plant in Haikou, capital city of China’s southernmost province of Hainan.

The initial annual production capacity of the company’s Haikou plant was 250 megawatts (MW), and was later raised to 1000 MW.

Hanergy’s new project will raise the company’s overall annual photovoltaic (PV) capacity to around 2GW, making it the world’s largest thin-film PV cell manufacturer.

Hanergy has publicly stated that its Haikou plant generated a gross business turnover in excess of 2 billion yuan (US$316.45 million) during its initial period of operation, a figure which it says will quintuple by the end of China’s Twelfth Five-Year Plan (2011-15).
