The first six Hong Kong financial talents selected by Taiping group will carry out work exchange in Hainan for one year.

October 11th the Hainan Provincial Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau chaired a meeting with China Taiping Insurance Group (hereinafter referred to as “Taiping group”) to exchange Hong Kong talents. The first six Hong Kong financial talents selected by Taiping group will carry out work exchange in Hainan for one year.

The Six talents are from the headquarters of Taiping group and four subsidiaries in Hong Kong. Their past work experience involves investment management, risk compliance, operation services and other fields.

They will work in institutions such as Hainan Local Financial Supervision and Administration, Hainan International Economic Development Bureau, Hainan Caijin Group Co., Ltd., Haikou Financial Administration and Sanya State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission.

Wu Tongliang, from the headquarters of Taiping Group, will be assigned to the Second Supervision Department of the Hainan Provincial Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau to engage in the promotion of capital market services and the construction of trading venues.

Wu Tongliang said that he will take the initiative to share the experience he has learned from his work in Hong Kong, and visit various cities and counties in Hainan to gain an in-depth understanding of the local financial market, in order to contribute to the construction of the Hainan Free Trade Port.

Guan Yi, Deputy Director of Hainan Provincial Local Financial Supervision and Administration Bureau, said that the selection is an important measure to promote exchanges and cooperation between Hainan and Hong Kong, and to implement the talent strategy of the Hong Kong SAR government and the Hainan provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government.

It is hoped that Hong Kong talents can “show Hong Kong’s style”, “do a good job in Hainan affairs” and “build a bridge between Hainan and Hong Kong”.

Zhu Jie, deputy general manager of Taiping group, attended the meeting online. He said that the current cooperation between Taiping Group and Hainan Province is developing well. From financial and insurance services and infrastructure construction to a new stage of talent exchange, it will be a great opportunity for Hainan.
