On-street parking charges on the way in Haikou for these areas

September 8th, a meeting was held to set the price of on-street parking in the Haikou Smart Parking Meilan Pilot Project. 

2 sets of pricing plans were set up at the meeting.

The first plan is divided into first-class, second-class, and third-class road sections. The price of each road section is set to be 1.5 yuan/half an hour for the first hour (inclusive).

The maximum charge for continuous parking in a single day is 45 yuan, 40 yuan and 35 yuan respectively according to the first, second and third class sections.

The second plan is also divided into first-class, second-class, and third-class road sections. The price of each road section is set as 1.5 yuan / half an hour in the first hour (inclusive). The maximum charge for continuous parking in a single day is 40 yuan, 35 yuan and 30 yuan respectively.

The Haikou smart parking Meilan pilot project is located in five key areas, including the provincial government, the provincial Party committee, the Meilan District government, the East River Crossing channel and the Haidian Island Business District.

There are 5,148 on street berths in 65 sections and the preliminary design of the parking spaces has passed an expert review and the municipal traffic police department review. 

At present, the construction, design and installation of 1,879 berths have been completed in the first phase of the project, and the construction, design and installation of 5,148 berths in 65 sections is expected to complete by the beginning of next year.

The first class road sections include Xisha Road, Haidian fifth West Road, Haidian Fifth Middle Road, Haidian fourth East Road, Haidian fourth West Road, Haidian third West Road, Shiji Avenue, Renmin Avenue, Meiyuan Road, Wenming Middle Road, Haitong Road, Haixing Road, Deli Road, Yixin Road, Haikang Road, Yixin 1st horizontal road, Haidian 2nd West Road, Haidian 1st East Road, Haidian 1st West Road, Wanxing Road Ramps on both sides of Renmin bridge, Haida Road, Hebang Road, Zhenxing Road, Qunshang Road (south section), Banqiao Road, Haifu Erheng Road, Jinpo Road, Jiahua Road, Daying East 1st Road, Qiongwen Avenue, Xianyun Road, Lingzhong Road, Guilin Yang Avenue, South to East ramp of Heping Bridge and Hailanwan road. 

The second class road sections includes Wanheng Road, Chunhua Road, Yiyuan Road, Haiyuan street, Xinbu Road, Wuzhishan Road and Binjiang Road. 

Third class road sections include Lanshuiwan phase II East Road, Qingsong Road, Changyang Road, Meishan road and Wangyang road.

According to a spokesperson for the Haikou Development and Reform Commission, the parking fee scheme for on street parking in the Meilan pilot project for Haikou City smart parking aims to solve the problems of parking difficulty and disorder in the downtown area of Haikou, improve urban operation efficiency and meet the growing demand for parking by citizens.
