Personnel entering Haikou Meilan Airport terminal must present a “green code + nucleic acid certificate” to pass through

As of 06:00 on August 6th, 2021, all personnel and passengers (including pick-up and drop-off personnel), entering the terminal of Haikou Meilan International Airport must present a negative nucleic acid certificate that was taken within the last 48 hours and a green “Hainan Health Code” or the “National Integrated Government Service Platform Epidemic Prevention Health Information Code”.

Personnel entering must also wear a mask correctly, submit to a temperature check and fully co-operate with directing staff. If personnel cannot issue a valid nucleic acid negative certificate that is within 48 hours, you will not be able to enter the terminal or other areas.

For passengers who are unable to obtain the “health code” such as the elderly, children, etc. they must hold a valid nucleic acid certificate and an accompanying person can apply for their family “health code” on their behalf.

On the morning of August 5th, Haikou City organized a total of 200 samplers from the First Affiliated Hospital of Haikou and the Third People’s Hospital of Haikou to set up 3 sampling points at Meilan Airport. A total of 16,107 people were sampled from 100 sampling groups.

So far, 6,930 nucleic acid results have been released, all of which are negative. The remaining sampling results will be released and the results will be announced to the public as soon as possible.

Haikou Meilan International Airport would like to remind all passengers to prepare their certificates and codes in advance, arrive at the airport at least 3 hours in advance and reserve enough time to avoid delays in their itinerary.

For specific flight information, please contact the airline from which the ticket was purchased to make reasonable arrangements for travel. Passengers who are unable to depart on time because they fail to issue a valid negative nucleic acid test certificate can apply to the airline for a free refund and flight change in accordance with relevant policies.
