Around 8 a.m. on January 3rd, following an alert from a person walking along the beach, a report was made about a stranded whale near the coastline of Haitang South Road in Sanya.
The Sanya Hai Chang Wildlife Conservation team promptly organized a rescue mission whereupon arrival, they identified the stranded whale as a “Pilot Whale,” displaying several noticeable external injuries.
Rescue personnel provided the whale with skin hydration at the shore to maintain its condition.
The subsequent plan involves transporting the stranded whale to the Sanya Hai Chang Wildlife Conservation Centre for further treatment.
