A new air cargo service connecting Haikou with Incheon in the Republic of Korea (ROK) was launched on Sunday. It flew on the first all-cargo route opened by Haikou City's Meilan International airport in 2023.

Hainan Province has announced "Ten Measures to Open Hainan Free Trade Port's Professional Service Market to Hong Kong" to promote institutional opening up and optimise the business environment. The "Ten Measures" are part of Hainan's plan to accelerate the opening up and innovation of trade in services and promote deep cooperation between Hainan and Hong Kong in the field of professional services.

According to the China News Agency, November 25th, Haikou - Frankfurt flight HU711 took off from Haikou Meilan International Airport loaded with about 20 tons of cargo, marking the official resumption of the Haikou - Frankfurt passenger-cargo regular intercontinental route.
