Qi lou snack street is perhaps the most famous snack street in all of Haikou. It is located right next to Haikou's historic old town and the perfect place to grab food

Like coffee, art and books? Then the Qi lou bookstore maybe for you. Located on the edge of old town (Qi lou) over the years it has become a meeting point for many before venturing into the arcade street.

Guilin Yang is one of my favourite haunts at weekends, it's only 20 minutes from Haikou City, has a beautiful unspoiled beach that’s usually empty, has some nice nature walks if you know where to look and by and large has a really relaxed friendly atmosphere.

If you are visiting Haikou, love food markets and want to experience some real Hainan street life then the food court is a must visit. The court is bursting with life and it's where the locals go to eat. Take a stroll down one of Haikou's backstreets and soak up the atmosphere .

Mova shopping mall Haikou is located on Guo xing avenue and is pretty central within Haikou city. It's one of Haikou's newest and largest shopping malls with 12 buildings each named after a zodiac sign and two underground shopping sections. Ultra modern shopping malls are now popping up all around Haikou.

The unique architecture of the Chinese pagoda has a history dating back more than one thousand years. Tower building in China probably started with the construction of watchtowers to warn of invading armies. With the introduction of Buddhism from India, the religion’s stupa towers influenced pagoda architecture.

Sanya Baiyue Ethnic Culture Village is an authentic cultural park which has preserved a lot of cultural architecture, totem poles, statues, and paintings. There's a museum, Hainan drama, Lingao puppet show, Danzhou singing and other performances which showcase original Hainan culture.

Tianya Tropical Ocean World, with up to 8 shows a day it's the only large scale tourist attraction featuring ocean species. There are performances by dolphins, sea lions, and even crocodiles (that's what the brochure says)...

Binglang River Countryside tourism zone is a, as you've already guessed, a countryside vacation district. The focus here is on local culture, leisure, health and wellness. There's some beautiful tropical countryside and you can get to experience the local culture of the Li minority, try their food and experience their traditions.
