January 20, Haikou: As the Spring Festival approaches, nearly a hundred foreign experts from countries such as the United States, Russia, and Pakistan gathered in Haikou, Hainan, to experience traditional Chinese culture and celebrate the upcoming Chinese New Year.
The event, directed by the Provincial Department of Science and Technology and organized by the Municipal Bureau of Science, Technology, and Industry, featured diverse performances and cultural activities at the Haikou Convention and Exhibition Centre.
In addition to opera performances, musical instrument playing, the gathering included competitions in calligraphy, traditional Chinese painting, and ethnic dance.
Foreign experts had the opportunity to express their hopes for the upcoming Chinese New Year through traditional Chinese arts. The event also featured an interactive “Learn Hainanese Quickly” session, allowing foreign experts to experience the unique culture of Hainan.
The event was all about shared experiences and cultural exchanges as participants enjoyed themselves at the festivities.
