Hainan’s Latest School Calendar and Vacation Schedule for 2024-2025!

Here are the latest updates on school schedules in Hainan Province! The Hainan Provincial Department of Education has just released the ‘Hainan Province Full-time Primary and Secondary School Academic Calendar for the 2024-2025 School Year,’ detailing key dates you need to know:

Autumn Semester 2024:

  • Registration and enrolment begin on September 1st.
  • Classes commence on September 2nd.

Spring Semester 2025:

  • Students report on February 16, 2025.
  • Classes start on February 17, 2025.

Looking ahead to next year’s vacations:

  • Compulsory Education Stage Schools: Winter vacation starts January 11, 2025, and summer vacation begins July 5, 2025.
  • Ordinary High Schools: Winter vacation starts January 18, 2025, and summer vacation begins July 12, 2025.

It’s important to note that special schools have flexible vacation schedules tailored to their enrolment needs. Additionally, external education institutions will develop their own calendars based on their specific educational activities, subject to approval by local education authorities.
