Ding Hui, mayor of Haikou, led a delegation to visit Hainan University on Feb 8 to summarize the achievements in university-local government cooperation, as well as to further promote cooperation on both sides.
Fu Xuanguo, Party chief of HNU, and Luo Qingming, president of HNU, attended the meeting.
Ding expressed thanks to HNU for its strong support and contributions to Haikou’s economic and social development. He also congratulated HNU on its achievements in subject construction and talent attraction.
He said that Haikou will provide a better service guarantee for HNU to create world-class subjects, expressing hope that HNU can provide support in areas spanning scientific innovation and talent cultivation.
HNU will play an active role in the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and talents cultivation to enhance cooperation with Haikou, according to Fu.
Luo added that HNU will focus on key areas and strive to take an active role in the establishment of the Haikou New Pharmaceutical Valley national biomedical industry cluster to achieve mutually beneficial results.
