The Jiangdong International Education zone is located in the eastern part of the Jiangdong New Area, its close to Haikou Meilan International Airport and not far away from downtown Haikou.

Education institutions wishing to open in the Jiangdong area, in accordance with relevant policies will be able to run independently as well as open sino-foreign cooperation education projects.
In the near future, Jiangdong hopes to establish first-class higher learning institutions alongside international high schools & kindergartens.
They will also support overseas universities in the fields of science, industry, agriculture and medicine to independently run schools in the Jiangdong International Education New Area.
At present, the Haikou University Town and Harrow, an internationally renowned private school from the UK have opened and started operations in the area.
Land reservations
Jiangdong International Education New Area has reserved land for international colleges and universities that meet the admission requirements and will match educational land resources ranging from 100 to 1,000 acres according to the needs of the schools.
Jiangdong International Education New Area has a planned area of 22.16 square kilometres. Construction land area of 17.53 square kilometres, the net development for construction land area is 11.81 square kilometres.
The New Education Area has a planned population capacity of about 150,000, with convenient transportation and advanced public service facilities.
