Sanya to Osaka Flights Resume: Daily Service Reconnects Travelers to Japan’s Vibrant City

October 27, 2024, at 8:19 AM, Juneyao Airlines flight HO1611 took off from Sanya Phoenix International Airport (commonly referred to as “Sanya Airport”), enroute to Osaka, Japan, with a brief stop in Nanjing.

This marks the official reopening of the “Sanya ⇌ Nanjing ⇌ Osaka” route, the first round-trip service between Sanya and Japan since the city’s port of entry resumed operations.

The “Sanya ⇌ Nanjing ⇌ Osaka” route is serviced by the modern Airbus 321NEO aircraft and operates daily.

  • Outbound Flight (HO1611): Departs from Sanya at 8:00 AM, arriving in Osaka at 3:55 PM.
  • Return Flight (HO1612): Departs from Osaka at 5:25 PM, arriving back in Sanya at 12:15 AM the next day.

Osaka is a popular tourist destination, both for international visitors and for Japanese travelers. It’s known for its vibrant urban culture, excellent food, historic landmarks, and convenient location. Some of the main attractions include:

Osaka-Castle

Osaka Castle: A historical icon dating back to the 16th century, surrounded by scenic gardens that are especially popular during cherry blossom season.

Dotonbori-Osaka

As of 2024, Sanya Airport has successfully operated 25 international routes, connecting travelers to 19 global cities. Looking ahead, the airport plans to further expand its international services by introducing additional routes and increasing the frequency of existing ones.
