Event Details:
2024 National Beach Volleyball Tour Finals

Scheduled from November 7th to 10th at Haikou’s Holiday Beach, the National Beach Volleyball Tour Finals will welcome nearly 200 top athletes from across China. The competition will unfold over two phases: group stages followed by elimination rounds.
Alongside the volleyball matches, the event will also host the “I Love Haikou: Beach Life Series,” which features a beach music evening, a food festival, and various beach sports activities, showcasing Haikou’s vibrant beach culture.
2024 Wake Surfing World Cup & Haikou Wake Surfing International Open

From November 15th to 17th, the waters near the Century Seacoast Commercial District in Haikou will host the Wake Surfing World Cup in tandem with the Haikou Wake Surfing International Open. This event has attracted elite wake surfing athletes from over ten countries and regions and is the inaugural Wake Surfing World Cup sanctioned by the International Waterski & Wakeboard Federation. As an A-grade competition, it represents the highest caliber of international wake surfing events, underscoring Haikou’s importance in the world of watersports.
Wake surfing is a water sport in which a rider trails behind a boat, riding the boat’s wake without being directly pulled by the boat. After getting up on the wake, typically by use of a tow rope, the wake surfers will drop the rope and ride the steep face below the wave’s peak in a fashion reminiscent of surfing. Wake surfers generally use special boards, designed specifically for wakes.
2024 FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Challenge
Running from November 13th to 17th, this leg of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour Challenge will bring approximately 300 participants, including China’s national team and teams from 26 countries and regions. The event promises an even higher level of competition and a broader international presence than in previous years, reflecting Haikou’s growing appeal as a competitive beach volleyball destination.
These events are expected to attract sports fans and professionals to Haikou, showcasing the city’s ability to host high-level international competitions as well as its facilities and natural beauty.
