Wenchang Prepares for Tianzhou-7 Cargo Spacecraft Launch: Facilities reported optimal for Scheduled Liftoff

According to the China Manned Space Engineering Office, on January 15th, 2024, Beijing time, the Tianzhou-7 cargo spacecraft and the Long March 7 Y8 carrier rocket assembly were transported upright to the launch area.

Presently, the facilities and equipment at the Wenchang Space Launch Centre are reported to be in optimal condition.

Upcoming activities include the execution of planned pre-launch checks and joint testing. The launch is scheduled for Wednesday, January 17th, at 10:20 PM (UTC+8) at the Wenchang Satellite Launch Centre, subject to a suitable window of opportunity.
